I was happy to give this toy to my kids but we didn't really like it. It doesn't have a lid, so you don't have to worry about spilling water on your kids who put their hands in it. Also, the fish wasn't really chasing the lipstick like it was supposed to.

The toy was not broken, but the packaging and the inside of the toy itself contained a million ants, big and small. They started crawling everywhere. I sprayed it but now the toy is covered in dead ants and spray. Very upset about this and it ruined the surprise.

My kids have asked for a fish and we are not ready to have a live animal so it works great! They have a pet to take care of and we don't have to worry about his death! :) Works well, cute design and kids love how interactive it is. You can also add more fish to the "aquarium" for further use. So far the battery has held up right out of the box.

My daughter loves this toy. She was very good at letting him go until he was asleep after 10 minutes, then drying him off and putting him back on. We have a second fish. I'll see how long the battery lasts. Read the instructions. We don't leave it in the water. He might get dirty. Easy filling. Slightly empty. The only fish obsessed with artificial seaweed. A little push and they float around.

Cute idea but disappointed with this purchase. I thought, sure, the fish "swim" for some time. But he only swims 5 minutes, and then you have to take him out of the water, untie the lord, and he swims another 5 minutes. The cool thing is that the "fish food" is magnetic, so it attracts the fish's mouth (depending on its position in the bowl) so you can "feed" your fish. I bought it for my 5 year old, she lost interest after 3 days.
