Description of LMT Onsrud 65 013 Uncoated Diameter

Solid carbide tools offer long tool life and faster cutting speeds than other substrates, but are more brittle and must be used with rigid toolholding systems. Uncoated tools feature just the base substrate without any additional treatment or coatings and are suitable for a wide range of applications. Round shanks allow use with a wide variety of toolholding systems. When run in a counterclockwise direction (right-hand cut) spiral fluted tools evacuate chips up and out of the cut to reduce clogging. Single flute, 21 degree angle.

Excellent Router Bit for Clean Cutting

The LMT Onsrud router bit performs impressively in cutting a variety of materials. Based on my observations the bit cuts through hardwood and even plastic without any issues .The precision of the cutting edge leaves a clean finish on the MATERIAL. Its uncoated diameter ensures that dust and debris do not collect on the bit, leading to longer bit lifespan. The only downside is the relatively high cost of the bit compared to other router bits in the market. However, the result is worth the…

Pros
  • Durable and long-lasting tool for cutting and shaping wood and other materials.
Cons
  • The uncoated surface may wear down quickly with frequent use, decreasing its effectiveness over time.

Beware! Incorrect description

The part number for this bit is in the detail description (65-013) and is exactly what was sent. However, the parts description is the same as for 65-012. The bit is written with a 1/4" shank when it is actually a 1/8" shank. Luckily I can still use the part but wanted other buyers to know and verify the part number on the Onsrud website rather than using Revain's written description.[.]
