Does not work on arrival. Now I need to buy batteries to see if it works as advertised. If you cannot hear the beep, change the batteries. I hate giving gifts and it doesn't work.

Plastic sockets are unrealistic for most things except for a key ring. I don't know how it's supposed to fit on the remote control or something like that. The plastic squares are too big! Also feels cheaply made.

To some extent the electronics must be the same on all these key finders, but the way they are assembled makes a big difference. Other brands had problems. Whoever put it together did the right thing. Buy with Prime and hold your breath but this one works fine after 2 months.

I have dirty desk syndrome. and I have a habit of leaving things where I last needed them. My TV remotes keep falling off. My cell phone is rarely used and I can't remember the last time I used it. Now I have a viewfinder that won't run out of battery in a day and never leaves the house. I think now it will be much easier for me.

I bought this for my father-in-law who has constant problems changing keys. He uses it all the time and is so happy he doesn't have to waste time looking for it anymore! I wish there was a better way to label the front but we just made sure the labels stuck to the back and it works great. It's easiest to hear when you're in the same or adjacent room as the key fob - no problem finding its keys so far. He would recommend!
