I got this for chopstick oil as I buy these large bars and then break them down into more reasonable sizes to use somewhere and then store for use. This container is very durable, the lid closes effectively and easily and seems to prevent the oil from picking up other smells. However, it's huge compared to a packet of butter and I'll probably use it for cheese and look for a smaller container for my actual butter.

I love this product and would buy it again but. My only complaint is with the picture which raises unrealistic expectations for the size and shape of this product. It shows that a stick of butter is ideal for a container. Here's the reality as it fits. This is the perfect length and width for two sticks of East Coast butter.
