Versatile 10-1/4-inch cast-iron deep skillet for moderate-sized cooking tasks. Preseasoned with vegetable oil formula and ready for immediate use. Cast-iron construction heats slowly and evenly. Includes looped cast-iron side handle and opposite helper handle; hand wash only. Measures 3 inches deep.

This is one of my favorite pan sizes!

This is one of my favorite cast iron skillets that I use. Remember to season before and during use to prevent food from sticking. Cooking at low or medium temperature is also best. This pan is also oven safe, which will do wonders for your home cooked meals. If you're thinking about buying the Lodge L8DSK3 fryer as well as a separate cast iron lid, it's cheaper to buy a 3 liter Lodge fryer with a lid as it's exactly the same as the L8DSK3 but comes with a lid. The Lodge makes great products!

So I received this Lodge pan yesterday. I'm no stranger to cast iron pans, I've been using them since I started cooking with my parents 30 years ago. Manufactured by Lodge, these frying pans will last the rest of a person's life with proper care. I never wash my pans with soap, just wipe them down with some water while they're still hot, gently scrape the bottom with a wooden spoon, break up bits stuck to it, then throw them away unless I'm using one to do so make sauce. Perfect for frying anything you'll ever fry

I'm tired of watching my wife bring home expensive cookware (Williams & Sanoma, La Crucet, Calphilon, etc.) only to throw it away after a year or two because it's burnt, discolored, or the lid holder from itself works etc. Told her my grandma has used a cast iron skillet her whole life, probably cooked in it every day and never had a problem with it. Works well if you take good care of it

I have used a different cast iron but I have never had a new cast iron before this pan. I bought the included lid with a silicone grip so I can finish it in the oven if I want. So far we've used this pan for: - frying chalupa clams (yes, you can cook them at home :D ) - lots of bacon - dutch baby cooking - lots of steamed veggies - stir-fries (we jokingly called it our village wok ) - corn tortillas Pancakes and maybe one more time I left it in the sink because I was too lazy. BIG cast iron, deep, big, and it's a lodge! Can't really go wrong!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this pan! First I fell in love with Cast Iron (CI)! CI, if you take a little extra time to season properly, it almost never sticks to the food. Even then it is very easy to clean. That's great, but if you have a glass top stove, you must be careful NOT to drop it or rub the glass surface. Fantastic with gas stoves. BUT THIS PAN IS DEEP! It is big!
