Save skin and money

The stick offers poor thermal protection and starts to break down after just a few uses. It offers a weak grip at best on large pots and is completely useless on small models. I have two and they serve no real purpose other than adding more red accents to my kitchen decor.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Annoying

Potentially dangerous

I've had this (in black) for a few months. It's just too big and not heat resistant enough. Too large a size is potentially dangerous as the pan may/will curl up in the holder causing spillage and as it is often used with heated oil inside. Well you see the problem. I would look elsewhere or just use a kitchen towel wrapped around the handle if the pan needs to be lifted/moved. Until I find one that works I keep it in the pan just to protect it from burns, but I don't use it to move the pan.

Pros
  • Same as everything before
Cons
  • No

A poor fit is dangerous for customers.

I was initially satisfied with this product because of its low price. But after getting badly burned from the too loose fit I would recommend using a full glove. The silicone texture of the handle on the inside provides a poor grip on cast iron and is very sensitive to temperature, causing floor scorching. The handle is not tight, which is dangerous when trying to pour grease. I would stay away from this cheap product as it has already cost me more medical bills. Wear a full silicone glove that

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for older people

Works great using a burner that matches the size of the pot

When I see 3338 5 star reviews out of around 6000 and less than 500 1 star reviews I had to look. The main complaint was that the handle got hot or melted. I've been using this since April and have never had a hot pen. I just ordered a mini lid for my 8 inch pot. I was trying to test my 10 inch pan on the high heat of a newer model electric range. I heated the pan for ten minutes on high heat with a silicone lid on the handle as high heat usually cooks fairly quickly. The handle didn't get hot.

Pros
  • Looks good
Cons
  • Hard to tell
