Didn't work right away

Didn't work right away. I have had a Logitech keyboard for my iPad mini 2 for 3 years and it is much stronger and better quality than this one. I was a little dismayed when I took it out of the box because it was clearly of lower quality and more fragile than its predecessor, but when it wouldn't turn on without being plugged into an outlet I was very disappointed. Reports of the real case falling apart are also not encouraging. I will be crossing my fingers and ordering a replacement because I

Pros

Cons
  • Not everything is as good as it says

The case fell apart in less than a week; ADHESIVE DOESN'T WORK.

ATTENTION! The case fell apart in less than a week! The adhesive holding the top fell off within 7 days rendering this case totally unusable unless you can find some epoxy to stick it back on. It looks like it only held onto two small spots. Epic FAILURE. So disappointed. You'd think this forty-four dollar case would last at least a year or two, but it didn't even last SEVEN DAYS.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Slightly crumpled

Doesn't work very well

I am very disappointed with this iPad mini case. I've had the iPad Mini 2 version for a few years now and it's amazing. Version 4 doesn't stand up and then lean back too much if you force it to stand up. I haven't had an opportunity for the iPad to fall out of the case, but the magnet keeps coming loose and dropping my iPad. The keyboard is nice for typing with curved keys that keep my fingers in place better than my old one, but I still wouldn't buy it again.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Some flaws

A little tweaked here and there, but so far so good.

I read all the other reviews about how easily the back of the case came off at the creases due to the bad glue used. It was clearly visible that it was only glued at the ends, with a gap between those attachment points. I did buy a case (love the purple color) but solved a potential peeling problem by applying a thin strip of Loctite Super Glue Ultragel Control along/between the gap and allowing it to "cure" for a few hours before replacing the place iPad. Mini. No issues so far, and my iPad is

Poor attachment of the iPad stand to the keyboard.

The manufacturing process used to attach the keyboard stand to the keyboard is of poor quality. It looks like they use a two part heat bonding process that falls apart after a few days/weeks of use. It's very easy to fix, I did it with tape but it can also be easily done with high tack glue around the sealed area of the factory thermal bond which is clearly visible. In perfect condition after renovation. The manufacturer needs to rethink hot melt adhesive to make it more durable. The keyboard…

Solid case, keyboard works great. I'm obsessed with electronics cases

UPDATE: I was wrong. Everything collapsed a few months ago. It was such a disappointment. I loved it while it worked but now I'm just annoyed! The solid body and keyboard work great. I'm obsessed with electronics cases. This is by far the best quality I've bought! I toss it in my purse and there are no scratches or issues with the case just popping open like some other magnetic cases.

Winner! (from comparison of 5 cases)

I bought 5 keyboard cases to compare. Case Logi Focus was at the top. The Zagg Folio case took second place. The other 3 got 1 star for different reasons. (You can click my name to see all 5 reviews.) First, I'm going from an iPad 2 to an iPad 4. I also had a Logitech keyboard case. Between the two generations there are MANY improvements and one downside. See below for details if you are in the same transition. The biggest area where Zagg Logi outperformed was in the corner. I love the fact…

Worked well for two weeks

Lasted two weeks with gentle daily use before the iPad holder and keyboard part detached. Seems to be an odd design as the area with the hard plastic holder window is where it was attached to the top fold of the keyboard piece. It looks like they went for an aesthetic and put their logo on the extra surface for the glue that may have held it together. The keyboard connects easily and types well, but don't worry if it falls apart after such a short time.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Could have opted for a newer model

Slim, light and functional in two positions

Functionality aside, an important feature I wanted was a light and thin keyboard since I take it almost everywhere. As a purchase, I purchased a leather keyboard case which offers more positioning options (shown in black in the photo), but the case was twice as thick and heavy as the Logitech FOCUS (shown in color). The purpose of the i-pad mini is to be small and light, so I'm very happy with the functionality, weight/thinness and easy syncing.

Pros
  • Affordability
Cons
  • Reliability
