Not 5000K but HUGE and bright

I doubt it's 5000,000. 5000k are pure white or even slightly blue. You are slightly on the yellow side. If those were the only lightbulbs in the room it would be nice, but. However, compared to my other 5000K lamps, the difference is noticeable. I was also amazed at the size of these bulbs! You are quite healthy. I use them in my flashlight so that's not a problem (although I can see them sticking out at the top). If you are using this in a table lamp it may not fit. However, they are VERY…

DOES NOT PRODUCE BRIGHT WHITE LIGHT OR DECLARE PERFORMANCE.

I tried these bulbs in 2 different bulbs to make sure they worked properly. In my Waterford floor lamp, which takes standard 50/100/150 bulbs, these bulbs give off very poor light. I thought maybe it was the lamp so I put the bulb in my Stiffel table lamp and the lighting was just as bad. Both lamps have white silk shades so nothing blocks the light. I installed it on a 3-way motion sensor and still you only get one level of brightness.

I bought these to replace the 3 way bulbs in my garage; hoping to save electricity. Currently, the motion sensor I use causes my lightbulbs to stay at their lowest setting for an extended period of time (before turning off completely) and then brighten up when motion is detected. I've always liked this feature. But no luck with these. The sensor can only seem to trigger them occasionally, which is a big disappointment. I'm not sure if it's the switch or the bulbs.
