Lokar KD-2AODU Ford AOD Transmission Kickdown Cable Kit in Black Review

The seams on this cable are of very high quality, but I followed the instructions up to T when setting the TV pressure setting. Then I drove and it shifted very quickly, I was in 3rd gear at 20 km/h. I've read that the cable needs tension when it shifts fast so I tightened it until it shifted as desired and then took it to the freeway and now I don't have overdrive. I have owned this truck since 1997 and the transmission worked perfectly until I installed this cable.

Excellent cable. And Lokar was good to deal with, but first. This was too small to install. I got it to fit but it would be nice to increase the pipe by 6 inches. Also the picture is wrong, it is the black version. I bought from Revain to get it here quickly but if I were to do it again I would order through Locar.

I bought this cable for my '67 Mustang. It installed well. The quality looked ok. I had delays in installation due to delay of other parts due to Covid 19. After installing and setting pressure. I tested it for 3/4 miles. The central 2 inch section of the cable has fallen apart and needs to be re-tied. Very very poor quality and now I only have a few days until the end of the return period.
