Just bought a three pack. I've been playing with the Dark Blue Master chalk for over 20 years. I found this chalk on a table at my local pool hall last week and it instantly became my new favorite. He's a lot tighter. I agree with the general feeling that it's pretty messy compared to most other brands, but as long as I have all the balls in my pockets I don't care.

So for me I'm not a fan. Saying that this isn't a "bad" chalk, but not for me. I definitely prefer softer chalk like magic or lava. Yes, the stuff glides on nice and smooth, but you have to apply it well. The sensations upon application are not worth the time and effort. I'm not too keen on the feel of shooting either. Well I decided to give this crayon a try as it is made by the same company as Blue Diamond crayons and is comparable in price. I wouldn't say this is bad chalk, but it's absolutely not the same quality as Blue Diamond. This is a decent chalk, a bit flimsy in my opinion and not enough holding power to stay on top for more than 1 stroke. When hitting, a lot of residue is left on the table at the point of contact.
