They did what I needed. I bought two posters for my daughter's reading room and didn't want them to look garish so I bought these frames instead of just sticking them on the wall. I think $15 is a bit much for cardboard backed plastic frames, but they were easy enough to put together and very strong. I would definitely pay it again.

These poster frames are terrible. They are made of cheap and lightweight plastic. They don't lie flat against the wall. The shrink wrapping process they use actually damages the frame by adding scuffs, lines and sticky residue from the shrink wrap around the frame. If these frames were less than $10 I might understand the extremely poor quality. If you want something that will make your poster look beautiful in your home, look elsewhere.

This is a great item to hang a poster in your bedroom or office. Nothing special, but serves its purpose. Be sure to remove the protective film on both sides of the glass. Otherwise the glass will appear cloudy. Also, if the frames are not aligned at the corners, make sure they are all rotated the same way. The front and back of the black side panels are slightly different. So if you attach a backing the wrong way round, the corners will appear misaligned.

It may not be a solution for high quality art but it worked great for the poster I wanted to hang. No rips or scratches, perfectly fitted to the corners, simply inserted into the frame - there was a cardboard backing, and everything was very easy. Don't forget to remove the thin protective outer plastic layer from BOTH sides of the picture's plastic cover (artificial glass part). This is ridiculously cheap stuff. It would probably be nice if you wanted something that looks like a really cheap poster frame but is cheap. However, I would still use it if it wasn't so deformed that it literally looked like an S. The weird thing is that I ordered two of these. One was "Refurbished" and shipped separately and was fine. I ordered an 18x24 frame that came in an oversized box with some plastic bubbles inside. The bubbles did nothing to soften the frame. The clear plastic portion of the frame was cracked, but luckily for me the crack was hidden under one side of the frame. Well, it's cheap. The frame stretches so you can place your poster between a thin cardboard backing and cheap plexiglass (I had a few minor scratches).
