I have very long, very thick, curly/wavy hair that tangles easily. In the shower, I always used a sturdy, wide-toothed plastic comb to detangle and comb through the conditioner. I only wish I had realized sooner the difference a good wooden comb can make. It's beautiful, strong and much gentler on my hair than the cheap comb I used. This comb is God sent. It glides through my 4c hair much smoother than a regular comb and doesn't snag. Since using this comb, I've been able to reduce detangling time. I always figured not to use a comb and used my fingers to detangle. Now I can also comb my hair, which allows me to get rid of the hair that has fallen out. I notice that I lose a lot less hair and have a lot less tangles.

This is the first wooden comb I own. I had used ox horn combs before, but they couldn't take the beating of my coarse, easily matted hair, and the comb's teeth broke off one by one. On the other hand, this wooden comb is perfect for hair like mine. The comb teeth are wider apart and strong.
