Description of πŸ“· 5MP Camera Module for Raspberry Pi 4/3/2/Zero W by LoveRPi

CAMERA MODULE FOR RASPBERRY PI: Record crystal clear 1080P videos and capture 2592 by 1944 photos with our high performing camera for the Raspberry Pi board family. Equiped with large 1.4 by 1.4 micron sensor pixels, this module is designed for low latency and high quality imaging required for computer vision, streaming media, and remote data acquisition. INTEGRATED IR FILTER: Infrared light is invisible to the naked eye but will cause hue changes to CMOS camera sensors. The integrated filter prevents infrared light from distorting the image hue resulting in color accurate imagery for daytime outdoor applications. AUTOMATIC IMAGE CONTROLS: This module will intelligently adjust white balance, exposure, sensitivity, black levels to optimize for best image quality. Additionally, it has built-in 50Hz/60Hz anti-flickering, lens correction, and defective pixel cancelling functions. SIMPLE INSTALLATION FOR ALL PI MODELS: Two FPC cables of different length for Raspberry Pi 4, Pi 3, Pi 2, Pi B+ are included. PFC cable adapter for Raspberry Pi Zero, Pi Zero W, and Pi 0WH are also included. Open a terminal, type in "sudo raspi-config", select "5 Interfacing Options", select "P1 Camera", select "Enable", and then you will be prompted to reboot. USER UTILITIES: There are two command-line utility "raspistill" and "raspivid" for capture images and videos respectively. There are user-developed open-source GUI applications called PiCameraApp and PiVision available on GitHub. Perfect for Octoprint and other camera applications tailored for the Raspberry Pi.

Totally acceptable

For the price this is a fantastic camera module. Image quality is pretty good when the device isn't too crowded. I'm running this on a MotionEyeos Connected Pi Zero W. I tried it alone and the quality was decent, but the board could only run at 5fps 720p consistently and it got a bit choppy. Everything works much better on a system served by a hub, I set it to 15 frames per second, the same resolution due to the device's distance from my home. It works well and outperforms the standard security

Fit and Finish: Computers and Accessories

This is very cool. 1080p resolution is easy. I use them on PI Zero W as RTSP cameras with MotionEye. Crystal clear video in normal lighting conditions, they are impervious to IR radiation so not needed at night. They fit perfectly in the official RPI Zero case with a few caveats: the case fits and the camera fits perfectly through the camera hole - it just stays there, no fixed fix, but they don't move. If you want to use a heatsink on the Pi with this camera in a case it won't work - although…

you are doing great work And it's easy

This is a great product. Within 2 minutes of opening the package, I had already downloaded enough photos to free up space on my iPhone and import them into my Photoshop account. The app is very easy to use. Apple should make this functionality a standard part of iOS.
