is a 4 wire connector and in my application only 3 wires were used. They only had 3 wires so I had to strip the wires one by one and use the one wire that was used. took me a lot of time and effort

Still couldn't get it to work, searched all over the web to see what wires go where. I have a standard Horizon Eclipse dcs+ where it is blue for NMEA (+) input, green for NMEA ground or ground and purple for NMEA output (+) and on this wire black for ground, yellow for transmit (+) and orange is for receiving (+).
