I've bought at least 3 of these now. I use permanent marker to mark where they belong so they don't wander off. Kitchen drawer, tractor tool box, garage, etc. Lufkin manufacture high quality tapes.

is just what i was looking for. The numbers are prominent and easy to read. It's very useful and lightweight. Easy to carry from place to place. The blade and the body are strong. Love it.

I needed a tape measure just like the old ones. I was surprised when I put in the name of the previous manufacturer that they make the Lufkin range in orange. That's exactly what I wanted. Disappointed that they only come in 10' and 16' when I wanted 12' but that's no reason to shoot a star. So far they seem solidly built. Bought 2 10' and 2 16' rules. Note that the 16" is wider, much taller, but sturdy.
