All the reviews brag about how warm it is but on a cold winter day when the wind is blowing it's not that warm at all. When the wind is calm it is warm, but the hat would be better if it was lined to keep the wind out.

This hat is very well made and very warm. If you just need something to keep the cold air out, this beanie is way too warm. We were looking for a snow plow hat but even in 20 degree weather this hat made him sweat. We could not tell from the photo and description that it was a Sherpa lining. Will continue to look for an unlined drawstring hat that hopefully won't get as hot when he's working hard. This hat is very good if you are looking for something to keep you warm in very cold weather.
