I used one of these cables to secure things in it.

I used one of these cords to attach things to our bus seats during a 23 hour train ride (Amtrak Texas Eagle) while traveling with my young son. I used travel zips on each of our backpacks and locked my vintage train suitcase (toiletries), then routed this cable through the handles and around the footpegs attached to the seats and secured with another lock. Thanks to this cable, I was able to sleep more soundly and move between the dining car and the observation car without having to take all…

VERY thin but still makes it!

They are MUCH thinner than I thought they would be, but they seem to do the job I needed them for. I bought several Talavera Pottery planters for both sides of my porch. They were expensive, and there's some petty theft in my area. I attached them to my porch railing with these cords. They are VERY EASY to cut but they are a bit of a deterrent to thieves and by then my dog can hear them and warn me! Judging by the picture, they are almost invisible, especially from the street.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance

They feel very strong yet light and the lack of bulk means we can easily stow them in the car at any time. Great! (ETA: But yeah, I wouldn't use them as locks on items or luggage, I didn't even realize they were sold that way. No, IMHO. Too flimsy for that. But a dog can't break anything specifically for cutting metal cans developed. Dog =/= wire cutters or…

Perfect for storing dog bowls in the common area - for now.

With these cables we tried (and succeeded) to keep dog bowls in the common area. When dogs are done eating, they usually take away the dishes like toys. Nothing worked. This time we riveted the stainless steel eyecups to the stainless steel plates and then used those cables to attach them to the porch. We have the ability to move them around simply by wrapping the cord around something and then attaching the attached clasp to the utensil. Good product. I don't know how long they won't rust…
