Well, as long as you don't risk the modifier slipping off the flash.

Everything is fine. That's great when the camera is upright, but if you're wearing a modifier on a camera that's in a hip holster and the flash is pointing down, you run the risk of losing the modifier, even if you flip the strap. It also requires some work to attach securely, but mostly works well. The velcro on this strap is very strong. Universal velcro is definitely a cheaper alternative but will hold onto the flash but is reliable. Compromise.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Clarity

Convenient and handy on Blitz

I'm sure you can make your own Velcro - go to a hardware store and buy a roll. Take some kind of rubberized pad and attach it to the bottom of the Velcro. And it's great when you have the time and a soft spot for such projects. I'd say "why bother?" when LimiQuest has already done it for you. The strap is good and durable, the bottom makes it safe to use with a flash. I'm willing to pay for the convenience. The softbox easily attaches to the strap and both stay in place during the photo shoot.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Expensive

Holds in place without permanent tape

I hate putting velcro on all my flashes. This completely eliminates the need. I have used several straps over the years and they have never been tight enough. Even if you carefully place and fasten it, it will move or slip. They are made of elastic, tough rubber. You stretch it out to its full length, wrap it around the flash head, and when you release it, it squeezes tight and gets hard, like a giant rubber band. I don't use super heavy light mods, but I've never had a loose or even the…
