The food slicer is easy to use and cuts evenly as advertised. Haven't tried cutting anything else. Concerned about cutting wires, wouldn't try to quickly cut something with a lot of pressure. Bobby M

Great idea and concept along with the basic design, problem I've only used 1 1/2 times before one of the plastic clips holding the cutter broke. The product would have received all 5 if the base was made of a durable material like metal.

I love eating spam a few times a year but hate slicing it for sandwiches and dicing it for scrambled eggs. I recently saw my wife use a device to slice hard-boiled eggs and wondered if spamophiles would care, and hell if they don't! This is a piece of heaven!

Nothing against the seller or the device itself. The wires were narrower than I expected and I tried cutting scrapple which is probably a lot softer and/or firmer (depending on many factors). The description provided matched - I think my hopes were too high for what this would do for me.

I don't usually use single-function kitchen gadgets, but I chose this one for the price and the entertainment factor. It turns out it's not only very useful for its intended purpose - for cleanly and evenly slicing (ahem) tinned meat for lunch, but also for softer produce like cheese, avocados, and other foods that are too big to fit in one to fit egg slicer. I like it!

Not working as advertised; the cutting wire yields so much that the pressure required to actually cut the block of meat tin causes the upper (wire) part to jump out of the holder at the bottom; You get stuck with a block 1/3 of the way. You can make it to the end by removing the top from the bottom and pushing it through on a cutting board, but you end up with a mashed mass of meat, not slices as advertised.

Good. If you take your time, the spam will come out nice and smooth. Please note this is for slicing, not chopping. Push it down carefully, don't slam it down like a guillotine. So-so - the cutting lines on this model are spaced about 9mm apart, that's just over 7/16 of an inch, so the discs are a bit thick for my liking. So of course you can put up with it.
