I really didn't have much hope for this type of towel rail because it sucks but as you can see from my photo it holds up very well. I use him to store kitchen gloves and reusable bamboo paper towels. Before this style I bought a towel bar with stickers and it was just awful, I'm so happy this style of towel bar works great. I highly recommend. I will buy another one for the bathroom.

I've scrubbed every square inch of my soul to find a clean spot to hold on to, but I won't stay. It sat for a full 6 hours but so far we haven't put any weight on it other than the hooks it's been running on and invariably a suction cup fails (almost always on the right side). We haven't actually used it during an actual shower, we take it out and then clean and dry the shower again, but it doesn't stay on our flat surface square shower tiles. I regret this purchase.

Other reviews noted that the pole didn't last. I think if you just put a 2 ounce washcloth on it it will stay on the door. My bathmat is within the weight limit but that didn't seem to matter. I even tried it on my plastic tub rim and it still fell off. Even repeated cleaning of the surface with alcohol did not help. We go to Home Depot and buy a standard towel rail to screw to the back of the bathroom door. waste of money and time. I will definitely be returning this item.

When I attached the towel rail for the first time, one side kept coming loose. I wiped the tile with alcohol and taped it back. Now both sides work great. No problem, does exactly what I need. Worth the price. Remember that the adjustable part is not a sliding bar. This means you use one or two sticks with a connector in between. Works well.
