Works great with old floor lamp

Years ago, I replaced most of the lights in my house with LEDs. I bought this 30 watt light bulb to replace the 300 watt halogen bulb that was in my old nearly 6 foot tall floor lamp in my living room, the last of the bulbs. I was concerned if a large LED bulb would fit, but seeing a photo in an ad with electrode spindles low down at the base gave me hope that this bulb would fit and it fitted perfectly. Great upgrade for my billiard room!

I am converting my living room into a billiard room and wanted to upgrade the lighting to make it brighter. Great light, eco-friendly life for old halogen floor lamps! Installation requires *minor* modifications to the lamps.

I am very satisfied with this LED replacement for double capped halogen lamps. The brightness and color quality in daylight is what I was hoping for. It gave my old halogen bulb a new and greener life! Installation was not entirely smooth and required slight modification of the lamp reflector to allow the replacement LED to fit properly in the socket. There is a reflector at the bottom corners so both ends don't stay connected. I quickly fixed it with a small hammer to make small indentations…
