A Great Workhorse for the Price

Needed to level out several sections of concrete sidewalk that had rose about 1 - 1/4 at the corner of the joints. Had 3 section about 2' x 2'. Work great at lowering the high point down to the matching joints. Took about 4 hrs to do all three raised corners. Ran a small amount of water while grinding. I was amazed at how aggressive it was in grinding down the concrete. Showed only a little wear at the leading edge of the disk as I was really grinding at an angle to get the fastest cut…

Pros
  • Provides a smooth and even finish
Cons
  • May take time to set up and prepare for use

Maybe for others but not for me

Let me start by saying my concrete is really hard. I'm getting ready to lay tile and had about four small humps to get out of an almost perfect 1200 ft slab. Maybe 40 sq ft of grinding. I worked HARD. Wore this out and only did about 30 sq ft. Had to really muscle it into the concrete with all my weight working one side and tilting as much as I could before my dust shroud came up off the floor and threw up a big dust cloud. Not good working inside. I'm going to try the Dewalt Dw4775 this just…

Pros
  • Ideal for use with concrete grinding machines
Cons
  • May not be compatible with all types of grinding wheels or discs

Quick Delivery best in my review

Used to grind drainage channels where bird baths had been left during finishing. needed to take an 1/8 to 3/16 inch off the concrete in small channelsso it would drain off after rainstorms. Was a suprizaly quik job. Was very satisfied with the $1/2 inch grinding wheel. used a very inexpensive grinder from harbor freight to do the job

Pros
  • Can be used for surface preparation
Cons
  • Can be difficult to find replacement parts or accessories

durable grinder for my opinion

We had paint and an apoxy over the paint on our patio that needed to be removed. The grinder was used to strip down to the cement. It did an amazing job with ease. I was very impressed how well it took everything off with minimum effort and how durable it is. I would highly recommend this grinding pad.

Pros
  • Fair price. Works great.
Cons
  • May damage concrete or masonry if used improperly

A different way to use this.

I bought this to grind down tree roots in my yard. I also bought a grinder. It works very well. It's not as easy as the Youtube video looked. But tackling on root at a time this will make mowing a lot easier and not chew up my blades.

Pros
  • aggressive wheel but leaves smooth finish
Cons
  • May not be suitable for intricate or detailed work

Solid Quality in my review

Ground down a square foot of very jagged 15 year old concrete and made it as smooth as marble. Ran it for about 10 minutes, and it looks like it's easily got another two hours of runtime left.

Pros
  • Can be used to smooth rough surfaces
Cons
  • May not be suitable for all types of concrete or masonry

Exactly as advertised.

Ordered the turbo wheel to grind an old epoxy coated garage floor. The wheel did great and held up very well. Ground a 2 car garage floor and still have 90% of wheel left. Would buy from this vender again without hesitation.

Pros
  • I bought this disk for grinding tree roots down to ground level. It works great for this purpose!
Cons
  • Price is good. Delivery good. Product wears too fast.

Great for removing paint from concrete floor

I used this to remove some heavy primer/paint layers from a concrete floor in my basement before redoing the floor. I found this turbo-style wheel worked much better than the brand name concentric-circle layout wheel I already had. The circle wheel surfaces seemed to get gummed up by the paint being removed while this one worked like a charm. Even though its a smaller wheel (to match my grinder) I never felt like the job was a grind (nyuk nyuk) and I ran through the whole job quickly. The wheel

Pros
  • Can be used for both indoor and outdoor applications
Cons
  • Can be dangerous if used in an enclosed or poorly ventilated area

Very aggressive! on my review.

I bought this to correct some mistakes with a self-leveling concrete pour. It is very aggressive and has worked well dry or wet. I mostly used it dry because puddling water made it difficult to judge my progress.

Pros
  • Ground 1500 sqft concrete floor and still has plenty of life in it
Cons
  • Requires proper safety and protective equipment for safe use

Grinds concrete fast

be careful if you havent used this before.will leave swirl marks if you dont have correct technique.overall works great

Pros
  • This disk lasted a long time and worked well on concrete and brick.
Cons
  • Risk of injury if the wheel shatters or breaks during use

Great for the price or weekend DIY warrior.

Did the job. In had to grind down some spots on my foundation before installing new floors and it worked as expected and the price.

Pros
  • Provides an even grinding pattern
Cons
  • Can be expensive to purchase and operate regularly

Got a tree root that ya need to REMOVE?

I use this with a angle grinder to REMOVE surfaced TREE ROOTS that are a great nuisance when mowing the yard. Works great and a lot easier and FASTER !

Pros
  • Provides excellent value for money
Cons
  • May not be effective on old or weathered concrete or masonry

Not Cheap but Inexpensive for a reason

If you need to do a small project or you know you'll be going through a ton of these kind of wheels. Buy these. They don't have a high service life but they will get the job done.

Pros
  • High-quality diamond abrasives for superior performance
Cons
  • Can put a strain on the user's back and arms if used for extended periods of time

A great tool for Renovation!

I found nothing to dislike about this finishing tool! I used it to clean up and smooth the floor and walls of my shower and bathroom after I removed the old tiles. The floor is concrete, and the walls are plaster-the diamond studded grinding wheel easily removed all the old quick-set adhesive and smoothed the plaster and concrete, so that the new tile would go on with no problems. There was an area of the floor that had a slight dome shape, and I used the tool to grind the concrete down to…

Pros
  • MULTIPURPOSE - designed for grinding, cleaning, leveling or coating removal for concrete and masonry
Cons
  • May require professional assistance for optimal use

Works very good best in my review

I used this to take down high high spots in 11x 11 bathroom that had 5 leaks under the slab after leveling. This grinding wheel cut very well. Couldn’t do this without dust control. Liquid leveler and you could not tell the had been jack hammered. Happy with this grinding wheel.

Pros
  • Offers professional-grade results
Cons
  • May require multiple people to operate safely and efficiently

Un believable awesome

This thing is amazing I wanted to go down 1/2 inch in my concrete. this thing made it so easy it works great when you put it flat but if you tip the grinder just a little bit it chews it apart like butter . I'm sure that it'll make the disc wear out faster but if you're only doing a little area it's no big deal. awesome price.

Pros
  • Exactly as described. Works well!
Cons
  • Not suitable for grinding metals or other materials

Fast grinding: my feedback

This disc grinds down concrete easily. I’ve used this wheel to grind down concrete that was not smoothed out under the sill plate before building walls. I’ve also used it to grind off some humps of quickcrete that had stuck to a slab and couldn’t be removed with a hammer and chisel. It made quick work of smoothing out these problems.

Pros
  • Good wheel!!!
Cons
  • May cause eye and skin irritation due to dust and debris

Great tool good for me

Hi everyone,After reading lots of reviews I am very happy to say I picked a great grinding wheel to knock down the raised up concrete in my backyard. The concrete slab was raised up in places from a quarter inch to about half an inch.I want to say that after watching many videos on you tube, I felt confident that I too could be a weekend warrior.I did about 10 feet long of raised up concrete. It took about 35 minutes. I had to stop half way through the project to sweep up a bit and to let the…

Pros
  • I ground quite a bit of concrete still has a lot of life in left
Cons
  • Can cause damage to the tool or machine if used improperly

Good product for the price.

This disc is cert good for the price. For some applications a more aggressive disc would work better. I have tried many different diamond discs, none have performed as well for the money I paid

Pros
  • Can be used on a variety of surfaces, including walls and countertops
Cons
  • May require a lot of maintenance and upkeep to maintain optimal performance

This wheel grinds 100 year old concrete slab like butter. I put it on my Hitachi 1800w grinder and go to town. It's so quick, I had to learn to finesse the edges with a delicate touch, not unlike applying stucco. I've used this about 20 hours and yes, it shows wear; but continues to grind as it did when new.

Pros
  • Suitable for DIYers and professionals alike
Cons
  • Can be dangerous to use if the user is not physically fit or able-bodied
