I bought this for a pen I gave a colleague for Christmas. Was looking for something to hold a pen that wasn't super bulky and flashy. It was the perfect match. It's well built, goes perfectly with the pen I bought, nice and compact but looks sleek and professional.

Surprisingly good quality for the price. It fits in my Lamy Studio fountain pen and still has room. I was concerned about staining the leather (I bought coffee-colored leather), but I tested it by wiping the sides with a damp paper towel. There was no discoloration on the skin and there were no stains on the paper towel. And I haven't softened either. Highly recommended.

I ordered red under the cover of a check book. I really liked the design of this one pen holder from the photos on Revain and personally it's the same. It's thick and seems durable. The only downside is that the red color is some kind of fake. I just received this item today and have started applying leather conditioner to it as I do all my leather items. I bought both "brown" [dark, saddle brown] and "coffee" [matt, almost black] and am very happy with both pencil cases. This "Crazy Horse" leather is said to be a bit tattered [as opposed to tanned Lakota Sioux], but my sleeves were virtually immaculate [no noticeable scratches or scuffs]. Genuine leather, just over 1/16 inch. thick and lightly ground or scraped on the inside of the case. The paint color is very even, as in the photo. The stitching appears to be handmade [very slight variations]
