There has always been a problem with the suction cups on the detector mounts. No longer. 3M automotive grade double-sided tape sticks and holds and holds. Don't use it if you want to transfer it later. Heat and cold don't work. I will buy another one for another car.

somehow I really like this bracket. This was the only one I could actually use on my Tesla as the mirror is very limited and doesn't allow for a normal mirror mount. This fits my Uniden DFR7, but I woke up a few days later to find my radar detector was stuck because the 3M sticker wasn't sticking. I ended up gluing it on and it seems to be holding, but there is a significant amount of vibration when the machine is running.

Overall I am happy with the product, especially given the price of the alternative mount. It has many advantages as the bracket is detachable but the pad it attaches to does not damage the mounting tape but it can be replaced. pointing up at the sky and searching for satellites, or pointing down at the hood. The only minor issue, as some others have mentioned, is that the mount's pivot points can slip a bit with use. I just took mine apart and used 150 grit sandpaper to sand down the plastic in
