Verschlimbessert - German for making things worse by trying to improve them

This is a slightly modified version of the MacroSilicon USB capture device. I have a non-60fps version that works great for the price. In comparison, it is an earlier version despite the higher price. Here's the skinny: * Works the same as v4l2 (x86 or armhf) on Linux as the other version * Not USB 3.0, the blue connector doesn't make it 3.0 ( lsusb lists it as a 480M device) - wrong product name. USB connector reversed

Mine and another one I've seen have the same problem. USB connector is bent. It still works, but I want to be very careful with it. Also, don't expect live video if you plan to stream content with it. I thought the encryption was fast enough but there is half a second delay for my switch's real video to get to my pc for obs streaming for obs which allows for turn based games and slow games but anything fast paced is hard to play when watching the stream. I would recommend buying a split capture

It just works, flawlessly.

I wanted to use my camcorder for streaming with OBS and video conferencing with Zoom. This capture card works as a plug and play device with UVC so it appears as a webcam for apps like Zoom, Discord or Skype. Windows 10 does not require drivers. You can also connect to OBS as a video source. The quality of the video stream on my PC is excellent. Keep in mind that even with 4k input, this card outputs a maximum resolution of 1080p at 60 fps. This is good for video conferencing or streaming as 4k
