Light, bold lines but can be smudged if desired

Great pencil for graphite beginners. Easy to work with, great thick lines, but complacent when you want a softer line.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Large and bulky

Graphite saves and changes lives!

This graphite pencil is ideal for both beginners and experienced artists. I use this newsprint bad boy to transform all my work, it's one hell of a life saver. Superb quality and life changing.

Cons

Perfect product on Drawing

I would give this 10 stars if possible. Graphite paper is expensive. So I use them to make my own. Saves a lot of money and works great. They also work well for charcoal sketches. This goes well with a well sorted display. Wipe homemade graphite paper with a soft cloth and you'll get subtle shading tones. I can't believe the value. I will never be without her.

Pros
  • Drawing
Cons
  • Crumpled

Great for an educated layman/artist

I have never studied anatomy or taken a drawing class. I like this because it allows me to do large sketches (at 8.5 x 11) to get a general idea, and then use a smaller, more detailed tool for details. I usually try to be detailed beforehand, but it really helps me to understand the general layout of the elements in the drawing without bogging me down with minutiae. For me it was definitely a great rough sketching and learning tool.

Pros
  • Arts, Crafts and Sewing
Cons
  • Exorbitant price
