My computer recognizes it but doesn't send MIDI.

My computer recognizes it but doesn't always send MIDI to my device. I tried plugging it into a powered USB hub but nothing. Tried to update drivers, nothing. I'm on OSX, for reference. The lights are on, the computer recognizes and sees the interface, the green light is on - but not flashing when notes are being passed. The problem does not occur with my other interface (Scarlett). The problem seems to go away when I restart my computer and open the DAW first, but comes back after exiting. Iโ€ฆ

kinda cool. for cables and connections

MAN! I'm telling you that this little gem has solved a BIG problem. My son has a Casio PX110 piano that we couldn't connect to the MAC in his recording studio with a cheaper MIDI cable. Even a phone call to Casio stunned me. They came to the conclusion with them that the old Casio was not compatible with the MAC. but I found that I had the wrong cable. not seen. There are some electronics in the blue part. It flashes when sending midi. very satisfied. Good quality with CD.

Pros
  • New in my collection
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Does not work with all keyboards

I previously wrote a review about this but deleted it because it gave too many stars. I found that the problem I was having when typing notes on my computer didn't seem to be related to my keyboard, but to this interface. I couldn't get it to work with my Yamaha PSR-275 keyboard and I couldn't get support. I was trying to hook up a keyboard to my PC (with an Athlon 64, 1GB RAM etc; the computer is fine) to play the PrintMusic 2006 notation program. With MIDI ExpLab I was able to output data toโ€ฆ

No "just plug and play "

Please read the reviews carefully. If your PC already has midi device drivers installed, the M-Audio Microsport Uno appears to work as advertised. If not, then think twice before buying this midi USB interface. Really value your computer skills and patience (or your access to computer genius) because you'll likely need to install and configure your OS-specific M-Audio driver, reconfigure your default midi executable, get your computer to recognize your device, file-sharing protocols reset , and

Pros
  • Compact control box - small footprint with rubber anti-slip feet, ideal for discreet use on the desk
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.

Use with 01V Remote app for iPod

I am using that is for connecting a Win7 Pro laptop to a Yamaha 01V mixer. This is to use the iPod app to control the mixer wirelessly via the virtual server app on the laptop (written as part of the iPod app). It works great. After a lot of research, I decided on Midisport. The only thing I found important is that Midisport seems to be using "old" technology that can handle large MIDI SYSEX messages. Apparently they are not widely used these days, which is why many (most?) new products are not

Pros
  • Simplified MIDI Control - Compact 1-in/1-out MIDI interface for controlling DAWs, synths, drum machines and any device with a MIDI input
Cons
  • Newer model would have been selected can

- Simplicity: As a longtime user of MIDIMan/M-Audio MIDI interface gear, I had no hesitation in purchasing this item. I bought it to connect my old Roland Sound Canvas SC-55mkII to my Windows 10 machine so I can use it to listen to MIDI files instead of the crappy MS Wavetable synthesizer that comes with Windows or the bulky sounds -Fonts. For Windows 10 it was as easy as plugging it into a USB port and connecting MIDI in/out cables to my SC-55mkII. No additional drivers were needed. Setting up

  • Universal Compatibility - USB bus-powered specification connects easily with Mac and PC operating systems.
