This is not a light. First, it emits a piercing high-pitched hum the whole time it's on, and second, it doesn't turn off the lights. If I hadn't opened it up and installed it to light up the step I would have returned it. Waste of money, choose another product.

You have nothing special. These are very subtle neon lights. I was really hoping the light would be stronger, but it's very faint. The battery is also very delicate and will not work if you tap it lightly. If you need it for something really small for a short time, that's fine, but not recommended for anything special.

To make it short I tried using EL cables to simulate neon lights (to scale) on a PC case mod, on which I work. EL wire isn't suitable for this (optically) and the wire I received isn't bright at all. Maybe in total darkness it would be good for some sort of accent lighting, but when there's light around it will only be that of the EL - Cable emitted light blur. Back to the drawing board I guess.

I attached them with hot glue. Cut off the excess with scissors and seal the end with additional hot glue. They have 3 functions: steady light, slow flashing and fast flashing. You can change the functions by pressing the button. They make a slight whirring/buzzing noise when turned on, but I don't find that
