NOT for the engine compartment. Sensitive to heat!

Well, put it in the engine compartment next to the battery. But only the heat of the engine can withstand the switch. Then, after about 1 hour pause, I can switch it back to the "on" position. Then it only takes about 30 minutes to get hot and pop! There goes. Waste of money using it in the engine compartment. But it can also be used in other types of installation. cooler environment.

Goes great with my audio amp

Great buy for my audio rig - haven't (fortunately) tested its breaker rating but can say it's well built and the connectors stand up to my 6ha. wires are perfect. The included screws are thin. So if you're going to put them in a spot that will rattle, I'd recommend getting better quality fasteners from your local hardware store. I installed it on a plastic surface using 3M VHB and so far so good.

60A version fits 4AWG cable

ordered this to install an amplifier on a boat using 4AWG cable. First I put threaded plugs on the wires, then red elastomer o-rings that fit very snugly against the wire insulation (it was a bit difficult to tighten at first). Then I stripped the wire, plugged it into the switch and tightened the set screws. Then slide the o-ring, close the breaker and tighten the end caps. The result is a nicely compressed O-ring that is good at keeping out moisture. The switch worked as advertised.
