Holds up well but sometimes just falls off the deflector and a few times. But I got used to it and so far so good. It's been about a month so we'll see.

Used in my 2020 Toyota Rav4. The vent clip part holds up well and I like the "stand" as it stays stable on the dash. Holds my LG g6 perfectly. Can be used with one hand. Can switch from horizontal to vertical mode very easily. Ideal for saving maps or connecting to Android Auto.

I have a Macalay clip phone mount that I use on my end table and it's great. However, this vent mount did not fit my car's air vents. The description didn't mention that it might not fit all vents. I returned it but will most likely buy another Macalay phone holder for my cars.

Finally I have a holder that can be used continuously. All my previous mounts don't hold tight and tilt and tilt back. It grips firmly and has an adjustable foot to make it easier to touch the phone screen in a moving car. The holder is easy to take from car to car and still holds securely, unlike many other holders that just break when you take them off.

We tried windshield/dash/rearview mirror mounts. Cup holder mounts. Nothing great happened. It either flies away when we're hit, or with the rear-view mirror mounts, plugging or unplugging a phone will remove the mirror entirely, which was annoying. This thing stays in place, doesn't obstruct the view and works great. The only minor downside is that it blocks one of the vents. So if you like blowing air on you, you'll get a little less of it. IMHO worth the compromise.

I had a pretty decent vent clip holder, but it kept pulling the vent down so it wasn't facing me. Unlike suction cup mounts, this one stays in place! I've used this holder for over 8,000 miles and it has worked great. It really had to be re-tightened after about 6000 miles and adjusted very often. It's two-handed but easy to use. It also kept my Garmin Nuvi secure while driving the rocky roads of Mexico. Works very well, surprisingly. Didn't think I'd have to read the instructions that came with it, but until I did it was a disaster. It only fell off once the first time I used it when plugging in or unplugging the phone. It's important to keep the grip closest to the phone clamp slightly slack. That way the phone will only rotate and wiggle around that connection and not its dashboard connections.
