This car mount actually screws the vent mount into the vents with notched teeth instead of rubber teeth. The phone is held on the cradle with a magnet either on the back of the phone or in a case. Unlike other car mounts, this one actually stays in place and never comes off.

No support piece included. Without it, the phone's weight pulls the vent down, resulting in a completely unusable viewing angle. The picture shown in the product description clearly shows the included support part, but the instruction manual that came with the package does not. It's just a case of false advertising.

I love these so much I'm buying two more for my sons cars. The clip is securely fastened in the car vent, I put the magnetic plate in the phone case and it works great. A small tab on the bottom supports the phone and prevents it from vibrating through the magnetic mount on bumpy roads. And the gap in the middle allows me to connect the charger while my phone is in the holder.

I have had many vent and dash mounts over the years and they all ended up in a junkyard. This mount is a VERY strong and secure way to mount your phone. I drive a truck and drive on a lot of dirt roads. With other mounts, I always had to pick the phone off the ground. But this thing holds him tight and doesn't move an iota. Also used a second mount for my Garmin GPS and same, never dropped or moved. If you're looking for a great mount, look no further.

I was looking for a mount for my Cobb Accessport and possibly other equipment. This vent mount works really well and fits perfectly where I put it. Accessport is right where I want it and focuses on me while driving. For the price you don't get a bad deal. The magnet is also very strong, which is a big plus when driving on windy and bumpy roads. It has a very strong magnet which is great, with my Galaxy S8 I don't even need any of the magnetic adhesive that comes with it. The bottom support arm is way more brittle than I thought and I'm not sure how strong it will be, it also rattles like crazy when pushed out.
