amazing with vMix the best computer components

great card with amazing results but I tried to record PS4pro video at 4k resolution but it seems to be locked at 30hz and lagging a lot but there is no guide how things are running correctly like receiving sound and all video codecs correctly when trying to capture a 4k video from a 4k stream that doesn't allow more than 30Hz: the newer express capture allows you to capture 4k/ 60fps, but using vMix is the best method The advantage of this card is that you first need Express Capture and then…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad but...

This card is essentially the same chip used in the Elgato 4K60 Pro except that The Magewell Pro 4K doesn't have a pass-through output (not a big deal since I have a 4K60 HDMI 2.0 splitter) and the Magewell costs twice as much as the Elgato 4K60 Pro. The card works but the software that comes with it (same 4K API, Elgato) is very basic and the KEY is there is NO hardware accelerated recording when switching to 4K. It is also very important to set the color modes/technologies correctly to match…

Pros
  • Brilliantly done
Cons
  • disappears

I can stream again! Computer Components

I've been waiting months for this to come out. I can FINALLY stream at 1440p on my monitor without having to rely on OBS software tricks to get it working. I can just clone my display to it and it works! My settings: GeForce 1080

Pros
  • Rugged Finish
Cons
  • Damaged

Great for the price but the fan keeps it from being great

An all round solid card, especially at this price point. I haven't had any video quality issues since I started using it a few months ago. Reason for 4 stars: fan. It's very loud and always on. It's a little frustrating when using the card in a small room with audio recording equipment (a little extra acoustic foam around the computer helped). It's definitely noticeable. I wish they had used a better bearing/blade on the fan to keep the noise to a minimum.

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Not the best

The fan on this unit is too loud to use in my recording studio.

I paid extra for an HDMI cable which is not available on the Eglato HD60s. But after purchasing and installing it, it becomes clear that this device has one serious drawback. The fan on this unit is too loud to use in my recording studio. If you are sensitive to ambient noise, I do not recommend buying this device.

Pros
  • Special offer
Cons
  • Hard to say
