I've used these to hold back straps on my backpacks that seem to dangle and otherwise hit my arms. At first I was concerned that my hands might hit the tabs used to open them, and part of me wished the tabs weren't there (i.e. I'd be happy to cut them off if needed). Luckily that didn't happen and I don't like the look but they work well.

I bought 10 of these clips so I can organize the straps in my everyday backpack and they arrived on time. These are very strong clips, so strong that once closed they will not open unless you use a tool or knife. I liked the idea with them, but they will be difficult to use if you plan to close and open them regularly. These are more permanent clips.
