I bought a magnetic connector because the newer Mac Book Air laptops don't have a magnetic closure anymore. Everything works on the new laptop. My only complaint is that the small part that inserts into the port is very difficult to remove. It would be nice to include a stub removal tool.

My Macbook Pro will most likely have a new logic board after testing my first magnetic adapter. It caught fire as if charging, the laptop still recognized "AC adapter", wouldn't charge. As soon as I noticed the battery level dropping, I checked the connector and the magnetic adapter was very hot, as was the charging port it was plugged into. I really like this product but it has very weak magnets and the slightest movement from the iPad and it turns itself off. I would not buy this again.

I bought this to save a USB-C port on my laptop. (HP was kind enough to refurbish it.) In that regard, this article is excellent. I have not tested the ability to transfer video or data. It works great and charges well.

I would like it to be smaller and the LED on the adapter isn't as bright but for a 24 pin connector it might not be enough , as for the white LED? I covered it with blue marker.
