Strong magnet but not suitable for doors that open and close constantly.

I used the wall side anchor first. The magnet was so strong when my 7 year old first closed the door that the part that goes in the door ripped out of the door. So I put an anchor in the door (not a wooden door) the next time my 7 year old tried to close the door the anchor flew and everything out of the wall! The magnet is definitely strong and holds the door open well. I think I would recommend it for a door that stays open all the time and doesn't close.

Works great: office furniture and lighting

Our front door tends to slam in the wind as we try to bring in groceries. Works great and looks stylish. Like others, I had some trouble trying to disassemble a small portion of the device's magnetic button for installation. I used a rubber pad to protect the black metal coating, a couple of bench vices to hold it in place and a screwdriver inserted in the spine to unscrew it. The underside is easy to clean and won't move or get lost like my old doorstop

I have a bathroom door that I want to be halfway between fully open and wide open. That's exactly where my elbow is when I'm combing my hair or moving. I had a moving doorstop for a while but sometimes it moved and was hard to find when kicked under the cabinets. My hair or dust would also get under it, and the door wouldn't hold open well.
