I have a Galaxy S7, I put a magnet on the outside of the case but the magnet is not strong enough to hold the phone on the mount, the phone slides off and stays then stand. I worry that if I hit a bump it will come off and fall glass side down onto the shifter. Not happy with that.

Okay I bought this thinking it doesn't matter where my vents go ie. vertical or horizontal. But there was a small catch. ADVANTAGES This is my auto mount option. The magnetic plate does not interfere with your phone, I have been using this product for 8 months and have not seen or had any problems with this mount. I like this mount the most for the ease of putting the device on and off the mount. CONS The clamp is very tight and doesn't open very wide. So if your vents are as thick as new round ones, you may have to wiggle them. If the fins are far apart, this may not work. All in all, I recommend RoadVise.
