These magnets can't even hold 2 pounds. I first tested a 3lb weight with a hook and it immediately slipped off. Then I tried using 2 hooks for a 3lb weight and it still slid down. Next I tried a small bag with a few bottles of tanning lotion that weighed 1lb 15oz. I used 1 hook and it slid down. Then I tried two hooks and it held. These hooks won't hold anywhere near 22 pounds. I have read the instructions carefully. They claim to support the weight when hung horizontally from the ceiling, for example. I tried to hang a street bell that weighs about 4 pounds and it didn't come close!
