These are insanely strong!

This idea came to me from a WoodWorkWeb video where he used two of these tools to create a guardrail for his drill press. Colin Knecht recommended placing a piece of rubberized kitchen cabinetry under the magnets to keep them from moving when snapped into place. I haven't done it yet, but I will if I see the need. The magnets themselves are strong. We are looking for other uses for these wonderful things.

Great solution for jigs or fixtures

I mounted two of these magnetic switches in a simple piece of wood to serve as protection for my drill. Its downforce is impressive when the 'switch' is pressed, definitely enough to withstand any torque of a drilling operation. I think the borer will stop before it moves my fence. While using it, I zoom in on the fence's position and then press one of the switches to hold the overall position. Too weak for jigging. Should be called MagJig 95/10

Are they powerful? Yes.very.but only in one direction.and you stand over him and try to pull him off the metal table. They are weak and give lateral pressure. They slide fairly easily even with two built into a simple jig. And that's the last thing you need with ANY type of precision gauge.
