Mainichi Koh Kyara Deluxe Aloeswood Incense Review

Nippon Kodo is one of the most common "everyday incense sticks" used in Japan. Mainchi-ko incense is burned daily in almost every home and home temple. These are ubiquitous scents and I definitely associate them with Japan. These are "kyara" (aloe) incense sticks that are earthier than your standard mainichi-ko (sandalwood) sticks. I prefer sandalwood because it's lighter, but I really like this one too. I like variety! Highly recommended!

The Kyara fragrance is definitely in demand. These incense sticks are definitely a rounded version of the agarwood scent: it's sweetened with other spices (mainly sandalwood) and definitely has lots of musky and masculine tones. I like it. Smells good, burns well. It's not cloying unless you're using it in a tiny space, and the smell lingers for a while after burning but isn't overpowering.
