Direct replacement for Sylvania 3156 bulbs

I've been using Sylvania 3156 Longlife bulbs for over 10 years, 4 hours a day, 365 days a year. Not a single burned out lightbulb for the whole time. I bought them and they are (a) the same size, (b) plug and play, and (c) look a little brighter (to my unexperienced eye) than the Sylvania. Of course, after so many years in the light, the Sylvanias were a bit dirty, and that might be why they became less bright. I haven't had any polarity problems inserting them, even though they're diodes.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Great price

Excellent replacement for Kichler 3165 xenon bulbs

I've just bought and installed Kichler street lights and found that I want to replace xenon bulbs with LEDs. I was concerned that the 4 watt LEDs might be too bright for my application since they have a smaller footprint and the lighting paths are only four feet apart, but they work pretty well. Can't comment on durability as they've only been installed for two weeks, but the bulbs look and feel good. They fit well, none of the eight bulbs were broken and I love that the plastic case keeps rain

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Brighter light with less energy costs

The old light bulbs in my streetlights were 24 watts and cost about $10 each. These new bulbs are brighter, half the price ($4 each) and reduce power consumption by 20 watts per bulb. I strongly encourage you to look closely at competing products as many other LED bulbs do not have a waterproof housing. In short, I am delighted with this purchase. Three additional things to note: 1. They are new so it's not clear how long they will last. (Old light bulbs burn out about every six months. LEDs…
