Works great on long, thick, layered hair!

It's great! My hair is long, thick, and layered, and it pulls into a nice bun without much effort. However, it took some practice to understand how they work. I've read reviews that shifts are a problem, but that wasn't a problem for me. I recommend tying your hair in a ponytail first. Pinch your hair and push it to the extreme point where all the layers are still together, then curl and wrap any layers that might rip out. The ends also need to be in a certain direction in order to be…

Pros
  • Looking forward to
Cons
  • Some flaws

I have very thin, medium length hair and was looking for a new way to style it. I ordered 3 packs and they arrived very quickly and in perfect condition. After several unsuccessful attempts, I quickly learned how to use the Magic Bun Maker. The straps have a slight inward curve and you must roll AGAINST this curve for them to engage. I also recommend putting your hair back into a ponytail first to make it easier. Once I figured out how to do it, the results are amazing! In my opinion, I've…

Delivered quickly, easy to use, keeps hair taut

Product arrived quickly. It doesn't come with instructions, so you'll have to check out the photos and reviews here to find out how to style it. I quickly gathered my hair into a ponytail, undid the product, slipped the end of my ponytail between the two sides, curled it into a ponytail, and then snapped/snapped into a donut. It only snaps into the donut one way. So if you're trying to click it a certain way and it doesn't snap into the donut as easily, try another way. Then position your hair…

Excellent price, suitable replacement

I have used the original hairags for many years but after such a long time they have completely fallen apart. I had to find something to replace to keep my hair in a bun on hot days. Definitely good value for money and they appear to be well made. The "click" function is not too sensitive, which makes it easy to wrap and fix the hair when and where you want. My only complaint is that they are too short for my long and thick hair; They are about 1-2 inches shorter than my original hair agami. It

Much better than donuts

I've tried donuts but they just didn't look good on my fine haired 3 year old. So I tried this and because it pulls the hair taut, it looks convincing and lasts all day. First I tie my hair in a ponytail, then I put it in between with the ends of the ponytail and fold it up. I have to be careful and pluck the short extra hair along the way, but once it's in a bun it stays in place. For the finishing touch, tuck in some bobby pins to secure the bun and you're done!

Perfect for my very long hair.

I have medium length hair below my waist so I had to get creative with this bun maker. As you can see from my photo, I have blonde, gray, light brown and white hair with small strands, and if any part of the tool comes up, it will harmonize. Bangs up to my scalp. The bun in the picture was made with a claw to hold the hair at the back of the head, make twists and roll towards the claw, then take out the claw and roll towards the scalp. So there is no hairband or bobby pins in the pictured bun…

Pleasantly surprised!

I have SUPER thick, curly and long (mid-back) hair. I half expected this not to work, but LO even I can have the perfect bun! The instructions are easy to follow and it took me a few tries to get it right but I managed. The bands themselves are very strong bracelets with bars connected on one side. I put my hair in after the shower when my hair is wet and very heavy (when most hair products fail me) and it still holds up strong! I can shake my head and it won't budge. I can't wait to wear them…

Great product!: Hair Accessory

At work I have to tie my hair in a bun every day. This product worked great. When I was little I used to use a hairagami bun maker. I went through about 10 of them. With daily use, the metal inside will eventually crack and split in the middle. I was looking for a replacement and decided to try something new. HAWWWY's Magic Bun Maker is essentially the same as the Hairagami but slightly shorter in length. Plus, you get three per pack with the Magic Bun Maker, and it's generally cheaper than…

Not for fine hair on Bun & Crown Shapers

I've seen videos of women putting their hair in cute buns but it was a lot harder to use than these videos portray . I kept trying but found that they usually pulled my fragile hair too tight and were too hard and stiff for the bun to look natural when I could get it to work. Basically, I think this will work for you if you have thick, very long hair, which is funny since these are the hair types that need the least help creating buns. If your hair is thin, fine, or just shoulder length, I…
