Wonderful product and amazing details!

Excellent quality hard plastic molds! The detail on the leaves is exceptional and the depth of the form is not too thick or too thin. I'll have lots of fun imagining new ways to use these shapes! I love hand sculpting leaves, but sometimes I get so bogged down in the details that I forget the bigger picture of the project. This will free up time and energy to focus on other aspects.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Doubtful

Another good Makina product!

Some very nice borders that I will use often. Saves me a lot of time as I've sculpted a lot of borders by hand in the past. Sticking hasn't been a problem so far. I think they will stand up to gentle use for a long time. I wish they were made of harder plastic or rubber but they are very good value for money and Makin products have served me well. The price was reasonable.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Not suitable for denser clays as hoped

Fairly new to the pottery so may not be a problem for most potters. When working with a denser clay, similar to plain gray clay, these shapes don't work very well. The mold turned out to be thinner and more brittle than expected, and it is difficult to press the clay into the mold without deforming the mold itself. I will try to make a plaster cast of the mold to use this purchase in some way. crossed fingers

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors
