Not the best. on vacuums and floor care

Thought I'd take this for a little cleaning, I have everything Makita makes and generally a great product. It is not that much. The suction power is rather weak, rather very weak. For the price it wasn't a bad buy but I probably wouldn't have bought it if I had looked at it.

Pros
  • Good item
Cons
  • Good but not great

I have other Makita tools that I love but this is simply the worst

This is the weakest vacuum ever. I have a cheap all-purpose handheld vacuum that does more than that. If you need to collect a small amount of dust, this works just fine. I have other Makita tools that I love but this is by far the worst.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • No instructions

Not as strong as the earlier Makita.

We have 2 Makita vacuums that we have used for over 10 years. I love them for collecting kitty litter and using them on hardwood floors at least once a day. Recently one of the old ones had a problem with the on/off switch. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. We ordered a new one and didn't like it that much. Doesn't seem that powerful and doesn't care about the pocket inside that collects the junk.

Pros
  • Great fit for me
Cons
  • Fits

Powerful hand vacuum cleaner!

This kid is a MONSTER! This works very well for our application. It effortlessly picks up grass, dirt, sand, lint, crumbs and anything on the floor or carpet. We keep it by the entrance to the back porch, where we always monitor the entry and exit of things. It's so light and easy to use that my wife has stopped using a mains powered electric broom. We already had Makita batteries and a charger with some of the garden tools we use. It was a great addition to our home.

Pros
  • Positive only
Cons
  • Minor change

Would recommend well for vacuums and floor care

Have been using for about 6 months now and it's typical Makita quality. It doesn't see much use in the shop but spends most of its time in other parts of the house picking up bugs, dust, cat hair and other vacuuming tasks. Also works great in a car/truck. Obviously not a replacement for a plug-in vacuum, but it certainly sucks better than any cordless vacuum I've had. The reusable filter is very easy to clean, it's too easy to detach (fall off) when the dust box is removed, but after the first…

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Volume

A nice addition to your Makita tool assortment!

This is a great addition to my Makita tool kit. Of course, you can only buy it if you are already a Makita tool user and have batteries and a charger. It works great on my hardwood floors and low-pile carpets, and I love the convenience of being able to move around my house wirelessly. It actually had more suction power than I expected. I'm a tall person and it would be nice if it was a little longer. I also wish you didn't have to hold down the start button when using. it gets a little boring.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • I don't really like it, it's ok

Vacuum Cleaner Good - Delivery Bad

Delivery took forever, more than a month and I kept getting emails saying the arrival date was changed (or uncertain) and I was told the Option was offered to get a refund and they will go ahead and cancel/refund my order if they haven't heard from me). THIS part sucks because I've wanted this vacuum for a long time (also bought my batteries, charger and extra attachments in the same order which arrived quickly and then stayed here, couldn't test). But finally all the components have arrived…

Pros
  • Fits many
Cons
  • Can't remember

Should be good - I bought a second one!

Perhaps the best testament to this vacuum cleaner is my repeat purchase of the same unit. I used to buy one of the white models of the same vacuum cleaner. This is mainly used on tile floors. The other is mainly used on wooden floors. They are in two different houses. There are small rollers on the wide nozzle that guide the vacuum cleaner to the floor. There's also a small squeegee at the back of the wide nozzle - I'm guessing it helps pick up those small, crunchy bits you're trying to pick up
