Description of πŸ”¨ Makita HR5212C Rotary Hammer 2 Inch: Superior Performance and Precision for Heavy-Duty Applications

Powerful 15 AMP motor delivers 14 ft.lbs. of impact energy to handle the most demanding applications. Anti-Vibration Technology (AVT) is a synchronized, three-component system that more effectively reduces vibration resulting in a low 9m/s2. Integrated damper spring at the base of the impact bolt is engineered to absorb impact vibrations from the drill bit. Lock-on or trigger activation in "Chipping Only" mode with a push button start/stop control for more convenient operation. Soft start suppresses start-up reaction for more control and better accuracy.

Inexpensive Rock Drilling Tool

We drill 1" and 1/4" holes in 4" thick concrete slabs all day long. The Mikita Perforator is the best we have found in 20 years of work

Pros
  • Rock Drill Bit
Cons
  • Quick Start Guide

My Favorite Drill: Power Tools

I have many drills and this is by far the most reliable and powerful, it doesn't overheat as easily as my others, in fact it never overheats and I've drilled hundreds of holes in granite from 1.5 to 1.25 inches depth up to 4 feet, stay cool even on hot days.

Pros
  • Tools and Housewares
Cons
  • Ugly Packaging

Very disappointed in Makita

Drill stops rattling within first 30 days. I paid $112.00 for UPS 3 day air shipping from Hawaii to ship it back to Makita. There was no response from Makita, 3 weeks later I called and Makita said they were waiting for the parts. Finally, after a month, I returned and tried the drill, and after 2 hours of use, the drill stopped knocking again. I called Makita, they said send it back, I paid another $116 for freight. Haven't heard back from Makita. Finally, after 45 days, the drill was…
