. I've just had better luck with other brands with Makita Tools

I gave up on other brands. I seem to have better luck with Makita tools. I have saws and drills that I use daily that were bought in 1985 and still work and all I've done is change the brush switch or cords, I mean 30 years. As a replacement for the one-year-old Bosch.

Pros
  • Demolition Drills and Hammers
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Great drill for punching concrete!

This was my first drill press that I have ever bought. I got this because I know I have to drill through the masonry/brick. This thing ripped bricks like butter. Drilled a hole to desired depth in seconds. It also works like a regular drill. The size can be a bit intimidating, but because of the power it has, it's a must-have. Even though it's a two-handed tool, I could use one hand and get the job done.

Pros
  • Tools and Household Goods
Cons
  • Non-Automatic

Great drill for wood and metal work

This drill has plenty of power (small or large drills) and a precise trigger allows precise speed control from very low to maximum speeds. The chuck holds the drill bits in place and won't loosen like some cheap drill bits. We use them in our joinery and therefore do not need cordless tools with bulky battery packs. In my opinion this is not a concrete drill, you should get a real SDS hammer for this type of work, but it is perfect for any job. Working in wood or metal.

Pros
  • Drill
Cons
  • Crumpled
