Known Makita quality

Small drill with hammer! It has quite a bit of torque for such a small tool - I have a similar sized B&D but it's no comparison. When I received the tool I thought it was defective as there is a 1/8 inch gap between the chuck and the case/power selector ring. Look at the pictures, it's obvious that this gap is "intentional". Why? I do not know. Looks "unfinished" but does not affect the operation of the drill. I'm happy with my purchase, especially considering the reasonable price of $83.

Pros
  • Perfect for working in tight spaces
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

It is incredibly powerful yet lightweight and requires no batteries

I am a farmer/rancher. This is a replacement for the exact same planter. few practices and they are grossly mishandled and abused. I bought the first one and found it to be very powerful and yet the battery lasted longer than any other drill. I haven't worn it. It was so good that someone else decided they needed it more than I did. So I had to buy another one. I highly recommend this drill press. It's lightweight, versatile and durable. It's amazing that you can get such a reliable, well…

Pros
  • Compact and ergonomic design, only 6-15/16 inches long
Cons
  • Very expensive

I was impressed by how much smaller it is than my previous 13 year old Makita that was stolen. I've been a fan of Makita since they invented the cordless drill and cordless tool in the early 90's. This brushless drill is very quiet and you will not see any arcing or sparks in the armature as it is brushless. I can only assume they improved the bearings to keep them that quiet and according to the Makita website, omitting the brushes can increase performance by 50%. I need to see THAT, but now…

Pros
  • Weighs only 2.9 lbs. Battery included (battery not included) to reduce operator fatigue
Cons
  • No instructions
