Not for the professional trader

I bought these retail at a metal tile store but my contractors hate them. They cut absolutely badly, unlike the original Malco offset scissors. When I sold one and the customer came back for a refund, it was too late to return it.

Pros
  • Hardened forged steel jaws provide durable, high strength cutting edges
Cons
  • Some bugs

Durable quality for power and hand tools

I have been using Malco Aviation scissors for 10 years. You'll cut smoothly and quickly if you know how to use the aviation style properly. My newest AV6 has lasted 18 months with daily use and abuse of Kynar 24Gage cutting material, even cutting edges. You can't beat the price of Revain. I've tried most brands and Malco is the choice of most tinsmiths.

Pros
  • Improved hand guard to prevent hands from slipping on blades
Cons
  • No automatic scissors

Malco is a good material

Tried some Lowe's Lenox pieces and thought they were fine. They were rubbish. Got them and found they work much better for the dictation work I do. They don't seem to pinch or bind metal between the blades like the cheap brands do, so I returned the Lenox blades. I would highly recommend paying a higher price for Malco because they work. I've struggled with a few single channel Lenox installations and it was too much. The next installation with them was much easier and the cuts were much…

Pros
  • POWER-FIT performance grips naturally distribute pressure evenly throughout the hand for a more natural feel and less fatigue
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
