The 10ft USB 3.0 AB cable didn't work for me either

Cable came tightly packaged in a Plastic bag (see photo from other reviews). Mine had serious corners instead of loops because it was wired. These zip ties were so tight that they severed the outer blue coating. I believe this caused the wire in the case to break. I couldn't connect a new USB 3.0 hub with a USB 3.0 B port. I've tried several 3ft USB 3.0 AB cables I already had and it worked - only this 10ft cable didn't work. I ordered another 6ft brand and sent it back. I wish it worked, I…

Pros
  • The combination of gold-plated connectors, bare copper conductors, and foil and braid shielding provides excellent cable performance, error-free data transfer, and fast charging speeds
Cons
  • Easily torn

Will NOT work at USB 3.0 speeds

I've tried TWO of these cables and neither works at USB 3.0 speeds. The first one didn't work at all, but allowed devices to be connected via USB 2.0, so I didn't notice it at first until I used a device that only required USB 3.0. I ordered a replacement and it at least connects to USB 3.0 but reconnects every 10 seconds making it completely unusable as any device connected to 3.0 instead of 2.0 would drop the connection. I don't know which is worse, but both don't live up to what they…

Pros
  • Simply plug and play for keyboards, mice, modems, printers and other USB peripherals.
Cons
  • Expensive

If you spend a lot of time searching for USB problems, this cable

Bought two of these for USB connection to a pair of Dell U2718Q monitors. On the old system, every time I plugged in one of the monitor's USB ports, the SYSTEM process would start looping and I could see the USB hub being constantly added and removed. The other seemed to work, but not at USB3 speeds. The system had some USB issues so I figured that was the issue. When I was building a new system everything seemed to be working fine until I checked USBView and saw that the hubs on the monitors…
