Well made and does its job well. Quickly attaches to Mefoto Roadtrip.

Attaches securely to my MeFoto Roadtrip. I've used it to take a panorama on a mountain before and it did its job very well. It's easy to put on and take off and the build quality is top notch for such a cheap product.

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • Something's wrong

Super quality and quick to knit.

More than I thought. Very well made and built to last. It is 3.5 inches long and 1.9 inches wide. Has a thick (.26") elastic with .45" balls that hold up great. Works great when a vertical tube or pole needs to be mounted. The smallest diameter vertical pipe this will fit is .982 inches. If the size is smaller, the elastic band can't hold the handset. But I'm sure you could stick it with tape or a rubber band.

Pros
  • New in my collection
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Use as tripod level

Mounted on tripod center post. Great for fast levels. It also fits with the tripod down, so I can leave it on if I don't want to extend the center column all the way. 05/10/13 - went to my daughter's concert to record a video. I used to be unable to get up on a tripod on a sloping floor between recliner seats. It was perfect. I have a ball head on my tripod as I mainly take photos. Use the center column to pan to level the tripod and then use the hot shoe level to level the camera which made…

Pretty good idea.

This is a great solution to put the level on a tripod that doesn't have a tripod. I ordered this and found it can't stay assembled for my tripod as it's too big to free my legs when the tripod is folded. This is a little frustrating as it's a lot bigger than it should be and would work if the assembly approach was a little more thoughtful. Despite the simple design, it works, is easy to use, and looks solid enough for a while. If you don't mind putting it on and taking it off when setting up…

Not just for photo booths

I bought two of these for a completely different purpose - to check the height of the mast of my ham radio antenna. For man-portable operations I use military grade aluminum poles originally designed to hold camouflage netting. 4 foot poles can be spliced together. They are excellent for mounting a radio antenna at a height of 30-40 feet or higher on multiple mast sections (with proper guy wires). At these heights it is important that the posts are as vertical as possible. These spirit levels…

  • Good workmanship

  • No cannon

Spiritual Level - Collect them while you can!

I was looking for a way to add a bubble level to my entry level bow tripod. There are many options if you want to buy a spirit level to attach to your camera's hot shoe, but I wanted to attach it to a tripod so I can level the tripod for video work. This is a great solution! It is simply attached to the B-pillar with a large rubber band. You can even leave it attached if you don't mind dropping the B-pillar all the way down. You do not need a bow tripod for this. Any tripod will do. Even if…

Good idea, but too cumbersome

Very simple fastening system on the center pole of the tripod. Since I'm not raising the B-pillar, I installed it under the crossbar in an attempt to create a more stable platform. It fit but got in the way when they folded their legs in preparation for transport. The mount was accurate when pressed firmly against the post, but it didn't seem like the "strap" would do the job of keeping it too tight for too long - which means that with a comfortable fit, the Bubble would be slightly affected…

Excellent as is or customized

I was skeptical because of the price. And it's supposedly too big for what I wanted. But I ordered anyway to see if I could solve my problem. My problem was the following: My tripod does not have a spirit level on the legs. Head alignment is useless when legs are uneven, especially for panoramas. So I contacted Manfrotto on their website and found that this should only work with 1" to 3" bars. My tripod's center post was less than an inch. But out of desperation I ordered one. The item is in…
