Unlike fakes, if you lock this thing up it'll hold up like its life depended on it. I don't have to worry about reliability issues.

It works, but only slightly better than the fake clamp that costs $20. I ordered extra attachments to make ends meet but again too much money!

I was hesitant to buy this as it is not cheap but when I held it in my hands I was shocked. The quality is close to zero. I show this to my kids as a trick. Position it as you like and fix it in that position. Just unbelievable! Used it to hold the camera in the car for this video:[.]

Works like a charm and looks like it will last a few lifetimes! I use it with an anti-rotation joint on my Manfrotto 190 tripod to hold a Sound Devices audio mixer/recorder that plugs into a 1/4" jack. Robust and continuously adjustable for perfect positioning.
